Biography

I am a certified nurse-midwife and an advanced practice registered nurse. I completed the undergraduate nursing prerequisites and earned an associate degree in nursing at Anne Arundel Community College in 2001. I received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland in 2003.

In 2018, I completed my first nurse-midwifery practicum at Dignity Women’s Center, and I received a master’s degree in nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2020. After graduate school, I completed a six-month fellowship at Holy Family Birth Center in Weslaco, TX.

As a certified nurse-midwife, I provide care to women from adolescence to menopause and newborn babies. I support Dr. Pilkington in his efforts to help women attain health and wellness through best practices such as natural family planning, Naprotechnology, disease prevention, and health promotion. I enjoy educating and assisting women in caring for themselves and their families. I endorse the midwifery model of care for low-risk pregnant women who desire a natural birth experience.

I moved to San Antonio in 2012 and currently live in Stone Oak with my husband and our son. My husband retired from the U.S. Army in 2016. I like spending my free time homeschooling my son, cooking, reading, walking, and shopping.
